David's brother, Jeff, and his girlfriend, Erin, visited us this week. They had driven 1200 miles from the Adirondak mountains in NY to experience a little slice of the south with us!
Even though Danny hadn't seen Jeff in 8 months, he took to him right away. Mommy and Daddy were even getting a little jealous about all of the kisses Danny was giving him!
We did give them a taste of southern life- we spent most of the week hanging on the porch swing, enjoying the beautiful weather. (The temperature in the Adirondaks was a scorching 19 degrees!) We also took them out to Macon's best barbeque joint, "Pig in a Pit," where everyone enjoyed the "Big Pig" pulled pork sandwiches and the awesome coleslaw!
Jeff is our family "mountain man"- he lives in a cabin in the woods that he built by hand, with no running water or plumbing! We're hoping that Erin will have a hand in convincing him that he needs these things- because we're not visiting until Uncle Jeff gets a bathroom! No outhouses for us!
