For the past month or so, Daniel has been pointing out the Waffle Houses that we pass by in the car. The strange thing is: we've never taken him to a Waffle House, have never mentioned it, and we just can't figure out why he's so ecstatic over this place (well, he DOES love waffles, but it's not like he can read yet!).
So, two afternoons ago, the little bugger insisted on going to Waffle House (out of the blue!) as we were putting him down for his nap. We told him that it was nap time and that when he woke up, we would take him to Waffle House. Wouldn't you know it (we had forgotten our promise), but later that evening, we were making dinner and he said, "Waffle House!" Well, we had promised him! So off went the stove, and off WE went. "Luckily", there is a Waffle House just down the street (but of course!).

This was only my third time at a Waffle House, and Angel's first time as well as Danny's. So we sucked it up, hoped beyond hope for the best, and made an adventure out of it. We even sang a 'happy waffle' song. Daniel had a blast!

Don't know what's more dirty - that syrupy waffle puss, or the floor!

Woo Hoo! Faffles! And 'crucified' bacon! All this for just $16? You can't buy happiness for cheaper!

We had a bad experience at a waffle house in NC, the waitress delivered our breakfast with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. We've since coined the place "Awful House":)Looks like Danny had a great time though!
