Big Brother Class

This weekend we went to the hospital for a "sibling class" so Daniel can learn about the new baby. He was so cute! He watched a puppet show about sharing, and learned how to help bath and diaper his new baby. He was doing really well until it was time to swaddle the babies- then he refused to swaddle his baby and insisted that we swaddle him instead! He loves it when we wrap him tightly in a "Danny burrito" and carry him around. He didn't want to share his burrito blanket with a new baby! So I guess we do have some things that we're going to have to work out.

The best part was touring the nursery and seeing the newborn babies. The class instructor undressed a baby in the nursery and showed the kids his little belly button clip and security tag around his ankle. She then pressed his tiny little toes up against the glass so they could see them. Danny really liked seeing the "real" baby, and wanted more! I told him to wait a few weeks, and he's going to get all the baby toes he wants!
