David was at work, and Daniel wanted to call and talk to Daddy before nap. David had forgotten his cell phone at home, so I called his office phone and put it on speaker.
David answers, "Dr. Biek." Danny gets very upset and exclaims, "That's not DADDY- that's DR. BIEK!"
When I explain to him what Daddy's job is, and that he is one and the same, Danny is unimpressed. The guy with the way cooler job is Uncle Jeff, who gets to drive a big red truck and uses chain saws to cut down trees!
Uncool: Dad who kisses in public! How embarrassing!
Cool: Uncle Jeff, the man with the snowmobile and power tools!
If we're so lame at age three, what will he think of us as a teenager?
