Summer is here - within hours of the graduation gown coming off, the Biek family suited up. It's been in the 80s (and even low 90s) for a good week now, and the pool opened just in time!

We joined the Highlands Aquatic Center for the summer (May through September) - we joined the moment we heard Macon State's pool wasn't going to be opened due to master villain and arch-nemesis to Fun, "The Economy".
This is an aerial shot of the Highlands' pool. It is a planned community on the outskirts of the City of Macon. We had briefly driven through here with our Realtor back in May 2006, but had already seen, and fallen in love with, our current house. For you Rochester people, the Highlands is reminiscent of Riverton in Henrietta.
