Today we went in for Jason's third trimester 3-D ultrasound. We were so excited to finally be able to see his little face to get a glimpse of what he will look like! In true baby Biek fashion, Master Jason decided not to cooperate at that early morning hour, and promptly rolled into a ball and fell back asleep! We prodded, we poked, we jiggled and thumped him, but it only made him roll into a tighter ball! Little night owl just did not want to be woken up and bothered that early in the morning!
This picture is classic- you can see him tightly wrapped in a ball, "playing opossum" with his right foot hiked up beside his ear, and his arm and hand holding his right leg against his head! His fingers are clenched against his little foot, and you can clearly count five chubby little piggies! He also hiked his left leg (you can see the bent knee) to make a perfect baby pretzel!

The closest to seeing his face that we got was the back of his head, and for a few moments we got a little glimpse of ear! No peeking at the beautiful face or chubby cheeks! It looks like we may have to wait until he's born to see what he'll look like.
All of his measurements look great- he's right on target for his size and weight, and all of his cute little body parts look beautiful! He's already three whole pounds, and the doctor said that if we went to 40 weeks, we'd most likely have a 9 pounder! And we finally have an official due date- December 23. Since we're being induced between 37 and 38 weeks, we'll be home from the hospital in plenty of time for Christmas! Jason's birthday will be the first week in December, probably around December 3 or 4!
The baby countdown is on- 8 more weeks until we can finally meet our ornery little opossum!
