Jason in the NICU

Since Angel had a c-section, they are making her wait 12 hours before she is allowed to get out of bed and visit the baby. Originally she was told that she had to wait 24 hours, but you know how well she listens when she wants something! And she desperately wants to see and hold her baby! David has been down to the NICU checking on Jason and taking pictures and video, and Angel has been calling for updates.

Jason is scheduled for an x-ray at 8pm to see if the oxygen is resolving his pneumothorax. If not, he'll need to have a chest tube put in. He is heartily sucking on his pacifier, and will be allowed breast milk tomorrow. Angel has been pumping every 2 hours in preparation for his first feeding, and if he is strong enough, he may even be able to breastfeed in a day or two. His nurse says that they are trying to keep him as quiet and peaceful as possible, so we may not be able to hold him tonight. He is very agitated, and we're hoping that the soft sounds of Mommy and Daddy's voice help him to stay calm and heal.

We can't believe how gorgeous he is- and how much he looks like Daniel as a newborn! Once again, David gets another mini-me!

Here is a video of our spunky little man! We'll update his progress as soon as we get any new details! Thank you all so much for your love and well-wishes!
