Daniel made a surprise visit to see mommy yesterday evening (he hasn't met Jason yet) - he's been excited for so long now to meet his little brother. When asked a month or so ago what he would do with Jason, he said, without a moment of deliberation, "Go upstairs, show him my big choo choo!" Daniel has also been testing out Jason's crib that was his up until late 2006.
In order to open the door and leave the maternity ward, you have to press your hand against this sensor. I let Daniel do it, of course... and, true to the special magical world that preschoolerslive in, he exclaimed, "That's a good hand turkey!" If only we could all see the world in this way, we'd see it anew, I'm sure. Earlier this week, he pointed to some jet contrails and shouted "a shooting star!" (!!!)
